Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role based in Taipei. The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and managing client relationships, and contributing to strategic growth initiatives. In addition to traditional business development activities, the role involves engaging with innovative medtech and healthtech clients to understand their commercial, clinical, and regulatory needs, often collaborating with internal experts to co-develop tailored solutions that support early-stage development, market access, and product success.

Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role based in Taipei. The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and managing client relationships, and contributing to strategic growth initiatives. In addition to traditional business development activities, the role involves engaging with innovative medtech and healthtech clients to understand their commercial, clinical, and regulatory needs, often collaborating with internal experts to co-develop tailored solutions that support early-stage development, market access, and product success.
Location: Taipei, Taiwan (Hybrid work model available)

Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the medtech and AI-healthtech sectors
- Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with clients, partners, and industry stakeholders
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform go-to-market strategies
- Develop and present client proposals and pitch materials aligned with AIBEDA’s service capabilities
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g. regulatory, clinical, technical) to co-design client solutions based on business and product needs
- Negotiate commercial agreements, manage pipelines, and support revenue growth targets
- Track industry trends and client feedback to inform service development and positioning
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or market expansion in the healthtech or medtech industry
- Strong skills in client engagement, proposal development, and deal negotiation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Mandarin
- Ability to work collaboratively across functions as well as independently
- Strong analytical thinking, with a consultative mindset and understanding of product life cycles
- Familiarity with regulatory and clinical development pathways for medical devices or digital health products
- Experience working within or alongside startups, accelerators, CROs, or technology consultancies
- Exposure to AI-based or software-enabled medical technologies
- Strategic Engagement: Work with cutting-edge clients on meaningful, early-stage innovation
